Welcome to my Chess Beginner Course!

*Please note that this course is for complete beginners*

Embark on a strategic journey through the game of chess in this engaging 8-class course designed for beginners. Each session focuses on different components of the game, building a solid foundation in chess principles and strategies for young learners. My aim is to foster a deep understanding and appreciation of chess, enhancing cognitive development and decision-making skills through the timeless game of strategy. Please watch the attached video to this class for information too. This course is a fantastic opportunity for young minds to dive into the world of chess, offering them tools to improve concentration, patience, and problem-solving capabilities. Let’s checkmate our way to becoming adept young chess players! 

Lessons are around 20 minutes each, on average.

Since there is no live-meetings in this course, I will be prepared to offer feedback as consistently as possible, within 24 to 48 hours. Please message me prior to enrolling if you have any further questions!

Lesson 1:
The Chessboard, Rules and Starting Positions
 Lesson 1 is about understanding the different rules in the game, as well as exploring the chessboard such as; files, ranks and co-ordinates.

How the Pawn Moves and Captures
 Lesson 2 explores the pawn, and understanding how it moves around the chessboard and how it captures. 
Lesson 3:
How the Rook and Bishop Moves/Captures
 Lesson 3 explores the Rook and the Bishop. We explore how they both move around chessboard and how they capture.
