Description
Class Experience
Students will learn various painting techniques while creating a landscape painting that will include a cherry blossom limb while socializing with other members of the class.
I have taught in face-to-face schools for 30 years. During this time, I have taught all academic areas as well as art and STEAM classes for grades K-5.
No homework will be assigned.
Canvas or cardstock to create a painting on Pencil Eraser Paintbrushes Acrylic Paint in various colors- I encourage students to choose colors that they will like. A picture of the art we will be creating will be shared prior to each class. Cup with water to clean brushes with Paper towel to dry brushes Palette, egg carton, or paper/styrofoam plate to be used to put paint on and mix paint colors You may want something to cover your work surface. I use wax paper. A smile and great attitude
Progress will be assessed through informal assessments. The students will be encouraged to share their art during each class period. They will also be encouraged to share thoughts and ideas with each other throughout the lesson.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
The learners will be determining some of the topics of conversation.
No outside sources will be utilized.
