Assessment
Progress will be assessed through informal assessments. The students will be encouraged to share their art during each class period. They will also be encouraged to share thoughts and ideas with each other throughout the lesson.

Class Experience

Would you rather paint a picture or play a game? In this class, you can do both. You will learn a little about painting a cherry blossom limb while we socialize. Each learner should choose their own paint colors. While there will be a demonstration, creativity is encouraged. Get your reactions and questions ready in case a game of Would You Rather breaks out. The students will be taught how to create a landscape painting including a cherry blossom limb using acrylic paints while they socialize with other members of the class.
The topics covered will be painting techniques.
The class will be structured in a demonstration-type format.
My teaching style is relaxed and informal.
Students will be encouraged to interact with me as well as the other learners throughout the lesson. Socialization and creativity are encouraged.
There is no prior experience needed for students to create this painting in the format provided.

Supply List
Canvas or cardstock to create a painting on
Pencil
Eraser
Paintbrushes
Acrylic Paint in various colors- I encourage students to choose colors that they will like. A picture of the art we will be creating will be shared prior to each class.
Cup with water to clean brushes with
Paper towel to dry brushes
Palette, egg carton, or paper/styrofoam plate to be used to put paint on and mix paint colors
You may want something to cover your work surface. I use wax paper.
A smile and great attitude

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
