CLASS EXPERIENCE: MINECRAFT BEDROCK EDITION. This edition can be played on PC, Mac, Android, and iOS. We will NOT be using Minecraft Java Edition PLEASE SEE MY OTHER CLASSES AS I ALSO TEACH THIS LESSON IN THE JAVA EDITION OF MINECRAFT. AGE RANGE: This class is designed for all ages and skill levels. Basic knowledge of English and Computers will be highly beneficial. Prior experience with Minecraft is not required. CLASS OVERVIEW: In this course we will learn about the Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster. This event is one of the most infamous disasters in history but the events surrounding it have only recently been studied. This disaster changed countless lives and made a city uninhabitable for over 1000 years. I will be adding a personal touch to this lesson as well as I visited the city of Pripyat in 2019. We will take a tour around Chernobyl and Pripyat in the game of Minecraft. We will see Reactor 4 up close and walk through the streets of Pripyat. We will see Chernobyl like never before! Chernobyl should not just be kept in the history books.
Learning Goals
In this class we will start our tour in the abandoned city of Pripyat. Throughout this lesson we will visit infamous abandoned buildings such as the swimming pool and antenna array. Pripyat cannot be lived in today and it is quite difficult to explore it fully. We will see what happened in this town and why it is no longer inhabited. We will also visit the infamous Reactor No. 4. History will be brought to life!

Parental Guidance
Some of the topics being discussed will involve sensitive topics, such as religion and war. This course will provide multiple viewpoints and come from a neutral standpoint. History is not always positive and this course will reflect this. The class is designed for children and is suitable for all ages.
Supply List
A Minecraft account (also known as Minecraft Bedrock Edition) must be purchased by the learner. Learners will receive access to the Minecraft server address to connect to. Minecraft Java Edition will NOT work. A pair of headphones and microphone are also needed.
