This one-hour class will focus on understanding and mastering how to name different types of chemical compounds, including binary ionic compounds, compounds with polyatomic ions, and covalent compounds. This is perfect for students trying to master this Chemistry concept or for students who are reviewing for Chemistry finals, Chemistry AP exams, or the SAT Chemistry subject test. Students will improve their understanding and mastery of writing formulas for different chemical compounds.
I have taught multiple sections of high school Chemistry in Minnesota since 2008. I enjoy helping high school students grasp these fundamental concepts about the building blocks of our universe.
There is no homework.
Students will be given a link to the slides after the class has finished so they can review them at their leisure.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Since this is a one-time class, there is no assessment for this class.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
