In this two day course, students will learn to use dimensional analysis to convert between units (English and metric). Students will complete several practice problems as part of the lesson. Learn from an experienced teacher/tutor!

US Grade 8 - 11
Beginner - Intermediate Level
Students will be able to convert between units using dimensional analysis and will be able to apply their knowledge to word problems in chemistry, physics and SAT math.
=>Grades 5-12 Certified (2015) Chemistry and Biology Teacher with experience in teaching various science courses [including high school biology & chemistry, 7th and 8th grade science]to middle school and high school students in the school and online
=>ETS Recognition of Excellence in General Sciences and in Biological Sciences (2015)
=>Experienced in tutoring science
=>B.A in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry 
=>Ph.D. and 3 years of Postdoctoral Fellowship in Biomedical Sciences
-ability to follow instructions and take notes
-knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, exponents
-know the order of operations
-best if students know scientific notation 
Materials to bring to class:
-a pencil, an eraser & a notebook 
-printout of the worksheet packet I provide
-a scientific calculator with an 'EE' button or an 'exp' button. 
-You may also use the online google calculator. 

Prerequisites: 
-ability to follow instructions and take notes
-knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, exponents
-know the order of operations
-best if students know scientific notation (see this course: Chemistry - Introduction to Scientific Notation)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
