In this two day course, students will learn to use dimensional analysis to convert between units (English and metric). Students will complete several practice problems as part of the lesson.

Class Experience

Students will be able to convert between units using dimensional analysis and will be able to apply their knowledge to word problems in chemistry, physics and SAT math.
Experienced High School Chemistry teacher
Certified in Chemistry and Biology
Materials to bring to class: -a pencil, an eraser & a notebook -printout of the worksheet packet I provide -a scientific calculator with an 'EE' button or an 'exp' button. -You may also use the online google calculator. Prerequisites: -ability to follow instructions and take notes -knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, exponents -know the order of operations -best if students know scientific notation (see this course: Chemistry - Introduction to Scientific Notation)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
