Class experience

US Grade 10 - 12
Intermediate - Advanced Level
This class is taught in English.
Students will improve their understanding of topics covered in AP Chemistry to maximize their score on the AP Chemistry exam and to help set them up for future success in STEM classes.
I am a certified chemistry teacher (Pennsylvania, grades 7-12) with over two decades of experience tutoring chemistry as well as teaching in the high school and college classroom. I taught AP Chemistry for 7 years and continue to do professional development to stay current on current course requirements. I have worked with a lot of different types of learners at various stages of interest and motivation- from high school students simply taking the class as a requirement to college freshmen chemistry majors passionate about the course with never-ending questions. I can tailor my teaching style to fit the learner, and I do what I can to make it approachable by anyone.
This is a class designed for students who are preparing to take the AP Chemistry exam in May.
Please bring a scientific or graphing calculator, a periodic table, pen/pencil, and paper to class each week.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
In this course, I utilize the College Board AP Chemistry syllabus (https://apcentral.collegeboard.org/pdf/ap-chemistry-sample-syllabus-1.pdf) to guide topics as well as Chemistry: The Central Science (Brown-LeMay) and Chemistry (Zumdahl) which are both commonly used textbooks for AP Chemistry and college chemistry courses.
