Class Experience

US Grade 10 - 12
Intermediate - Advanced Level
AP Chemistry can feel overwhelming- but it doesn't have to be! In this class, let an experienced tutor and former AP Chemistry teacher guide you through the steps you need to take for success.

Each week, we'll tackle different AP Chem exam problems- I'll show you how to figure out what the problem is asking, what skills to use, and how to maximize your score.

I will not be using slides for this, but instead use an iPad whiteboard to work through problems. This makes class more like an in-person class with an instructor and a white board. A pdf of the notes from that night will be sent after the class session is over.

This class is perfect for anyone taking AP Chemistry or an advanced or honors chemistry class who wants to prepare for the AP Chemistry exam in May. If you want to review with friends and you're interested in a private section of this for 3 or more people, please contact me for availability.

Schedule of Topics:
Each week we will do a selection of problems (different problems each week) from various publicly available AP Chemistry previous exam problems (both FRQ and MC) discussing strategies and how to maximize your score. Keep in mind that the focus for each week will be the listed topic but that other topics may come into play as well since many of the FRQ problems draw from multiple units in the AP Chem curriculum.

Week of 3/18: Intermolecular Forces and Properties
Week of 3/25: Thermodynamics
Week of 4/1: Kinetics
Week of 4/8: Equilibrium
Week of 4/15: Atomic Structure and Properties
Week of 4/22: Acids and Bases
Week of 4/29: Additional Aspects of Equilibrium and Thermodynamics
