This is an introductory level class where students will be introduced to scientific notation and will learn how to use a calculator for solving problems involving scientific notations.

US Grade 7 - 10
Beginner - Intermediate Level
=>Grades 5-12 Certified (2015) Chemistry and Biology Teacher with experience in teaching various science courses to middle school and high school students in the school and online
=>ETS Recognition of Excellence in General Sciences and in Biological Sciences
=>Experienced in tutoring science
=>B.A in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry 
=>Ph.D. and 3 years of Postdoctoral Fellowship in Biomedical Sciences
-ability to follow instructions and take notes
-knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, exponents
-know the order of operations
Materials to bring to class:
-a pencil, an eraser & a notebook 
- printout of the worksheet packet I provide
-a scientific calculator with an 'EE' button or an 'exp' button. 
-You may also use the online google calculator. 

Prerequisites: 
-ability to follow instructions and take notes
-knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, exponents
-know the order of operations

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students who don’t have a scientific calculator may use any online calculator such as google calculator. 
Students may be given an online quiz to check for understanding. Students will not need to log in or make an account to access the quiz during class.
