US Grade 4 - 7
Beginner - Intermediate Level
This is an introductory class where students will learn about subatomic particles and will learn to determine the numbers of proton, neutron, and electron in a neutral atom using the periodic table. I do, we do, you do method will be used to teach. I will be teaching using a digital chalkboard, presentation and simulations. A worksheet packet will be provided; we will go over the answers as a class. The link to the atomic structure simulation will be provided to students. This class is an interactive class - when in doubt, students are encouraged to ask questions; I will be assisting students while they work. NOTE: -Students must print the worksheet before class. It will be posted in the classroom announcement section on the day before class. Students will need a calculator. -I run another course for older students titled Chemistry-Inside the Atom: Subatomic Particles, Isotopes & Ions (Ages 13-17)
