This 12-week Chemistry self-paced course is carefully crafted to cover selected topics in the High School Chemistry Curriculum. Students will progress at their own pace, by watching pre-recorded videos and completing worksheets for each topic. Learners will have my continuous support and supervision during this time. Upon successful completion, a learner will earn a certificate of completion and if requested a letter grade. We will start by introducing atom structure, elements, compounds, ions, valence electrons, naming compounds, and types of bonds. Next, we’ll explore fundamental concepts in chemistry, starting with an introduction to different types of chemical reactions and the law of conservation of mass. We’ll practice balancing chemical equations, ensuring both sides reflect equal mass, and then move on to predicting the products of various reactions. In the second part of the course (Chem II), I will teach moles/mass/molecular mass/Avogadro number concepts, calculating ratio and molar/mass relation in chemical reactions. Students will be provided with practice questions and homework activities to facilitate the learning process. In my classes, I use a dynamic mix of whiteboard illustrations and worksheets to enhance the learning process. Homework assignments are due before the next session. I provide personalized feedback weekly during my office hours, Monday through Thursday from 11 am to 2 pm EST. Students are encouraged to reach out with any questions or concerns for additional support. Evaluation and Grades (optional): Upon successful completion of all required weekly homework assignments and passing the final assessment, students will receive a certificate of completion. If requested, this certificate will include a letter grade reflecting your performance. I am looking forward to teaching your learner!
