I am Minecraft Education Edition certified and a highly experienced and actively certified educator with a Master of Science: Curriculum and Instruction VI degree and multiple active teaching certifications including School Library Media Technology Specialist (PreK-12th grade), English Language Arts multiple certifications across multiple grade ranges, and more. I homeschool my own young Minecrafter and am an avid Minecrafter myself. I continuously seek to be inclusive and empowering towards every learner in every class.

Either Education Edition or Bedrock Edition (available on Switch, iPad, Fire tablet, mobile devices, Xbox One, Windows 10/11) will work well. Java Edition will not work as it does not have the option to import the chemistry items at this time.
*There are no live meetings in this asynchronous Flex course. *Gamer tags are not required to be shared as we are not gaming together in a server/realm in this course. *Minecraft gaming app/software is needed (and not provided) for this class. Either Education Edition or Bedrock Edition (available on Switch, iPad, Fire tablet, mobile devices, Xbox One, Windows 10/11) will work well. Java Edition will not work as it does not have the option to import the chemistry items at this time. *Learners will be playing Minecraft on their own devices either Education Edition or Bedrock Edition with the Education Edition Chemistry items imported into their world. I share a short video on how to do this upon enrollment. *Learners should be familiar with playing Minecraft on their own device and have the reading ability to locate items demonstrated with spelling shown as well as described verbally. Videos can be paused as needed. *Minecraft contains cartoon type violence without blood or gore.
