Class Experience

Students will be taught how to interpret chemical formulas, calculate relative atomic mass, relative formula mass and how to write chemical formulas for diatomic and polyatomic ionic compounds. Students will learn through teacher explanation, class discussion, practice problems and video clips. Power point slides will be provided and students will be encouraged to interact and ask questions. Files will be provided and must be printed in preparation for the lesson. 
Materials: Paper /book, pen/pencil, ruler, periodic table

Informal assessment: worksheets or quizzes.

45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
