Homework
1-2 hours per week. This class has a duration of 1 hr chucked into 9 sections. Each lesson is followed by an assignment that will help students to reinforce the concepts learned during class. All assignments are submitted electronically. Students receive feedback within 24 hrs of each submission.
Assessment
Summative assessments will be optional and available to students. The goal is to provide students with exposure to what a standardized assessment looks like without adding the anxiety that comes with testing. Student achievement will be measured formatively in the form of discussions, and assignments.

How long is this course? 
This is a one week self paced class. The full duration of the class is one hour and it is chunked into 8 sections that allow student practice. 

What will students learn in this course?
This course is designed to give students an understanding of chemical principles. Students will develop the skills and content necessary to succeed in college level science courses. Major topics covered are atomic structure, bonding, reactions, states of matter, and solutions. 

About the instructor
I come to you with over 15 years of experience in STEM education. I am a certified math and science educator in 6 different States. I am also certified as an AP Chemistry instructor. I hold a Bachelor's Degree of Science with distinguished honors. In addition, I hold a Masters Degree Science Education and Doctorate of Philosophy in Teaching Learning and Culture with a specialization in Science and Mathematics Education. You never stop learning! 
I became a teacher by choice. Teaching young minds has been one of the best things that has happened to me. I love to learn as much as I love to teach!
