In this popular animal science class, students will learn facts about Cheetahs of Africa. We will explore and compare the habitat, characteristics, diet, family group and conservation status of the African cheetah. I will be using a presentation created using photo slides and asking interactive questions that will also integrate elements of geography, math and vocabulary into an animal science lesson designed to motivate natural curiosity. I will also include two downloadable templates that...
1. Students will learn facts about the physical characteristics of the African cheetah such as size, diet, habitat and characteristics. 2. Students will learn how scientists use these characteristics to compare and classify a species like the African Cheetah. 3. Students will learn why conservation of African Cheetahs is so important and what is being done to prevent the extinction of this species. 4. Students will learn new vocabulary words related to the study of cheetahs in their African habitat.
