A few of the questions that we will explore through this class: How fast do Cheetahs really run? What makes them able to run so fast? Where do they live? Is there anything else really cool about a cheetah? And other interesting tidbits about these big cats. Students will learn about the different characteristics of cheetahs, and as we go through the material (powerpoint slides with lots of visual aids and pictures), they will be directed to draw their own. Questions and discussions will be encouraged throughout the lesson. Students will get a chance at the end of the lesson to show off their drawings. By utilizing all three learning methods (visual, auditory, and kinesthetic), students will be able to fully learn and understand what will be covered throughout this lesson. This approach is optimal for educating every student in the way that will best fit their personal needs. Students will need blank paper (copy paper or lined notebook paper is fine), pencil with eraser, marker, and crayons or other coloring utensils. Right now, I am basing my teaching schedule off of the schedule requests. So, if you do not see a time that works for you, or if all of the available classes are full, please feel free to put in a request! Right now, my available times are most weeknights anytime after 4:00PM Central time and all day on Saturday. Thank you so much for understanding.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their basic knowledge of cheetahs.

Teacher expertise and credentials
For my entire life, I wanted to be a veterinarian. I read countless animal books and magazines about animals and nature (national geographic, zoo books, fiction and nonfiction), and I still enjoy watching documentaries through netflix and amazon in my free time. I have also spent several hours researching and creating the material for this specific class, and have utilized the questions that students (and their parents) ask during class to better the presentation for future learners. We live in an incredible world full of amazing creatures, and I love to share my excitement about it all!
