In this ongoing cheerleading class, your young child will develop a sense of body awareness as well as a wide range of coordination and motor skills. Educational skills like rhyming, memorization, and team work are also big benefits of learning how to cheer. Cheerleading enhances confidence in a positive and meaningful way! Each lesson will start with "hellos and introductions." We will always begin with some simple stretching. Each week we will learn basic cheering moves. We will play games to make sure we have memorized these moves. After that, we will learn cheers and chants that we can do together as a class. Each week, your child will leave with a new found confidence and skillset!

Parental Guidance
There will be some quick basic stretching done at the beginning of class. However, if you feel your child needs more, feel free to do stretching with them before class.
Students need an open space with room enough to stand and cheer. If desired, they can bring water to class.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hello!
Welcome to my teacher page! My name is Mackenzie and I am a mother to 3 kids who also enjoy Outschool classes. I was born and raised in Arizona, but now live in the cold midwest. (and LOVE it!)
I also LOVE teaching. Teaching is truly my passion. I have experience teaching students ages 2-18. For the last 7+ years I have been teaching online. I have taught students and teachers from all over the world! I also have volunteered with my local YMCA to create youth enrichment classes that involve art, physical education, music, science, and more. I have coached youth basketball, volleyball, and cheer! Music is also something I love to do. I can play the guitar, trumpet, and a little bit of the piano. While I love to teach, I also love learning new things.
I have am a state certified teacher with a valid teaching license. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education K-8 Summa Cum Laude from Northern Arizona University. I have a TESOL certificate from Arizona State University.
