Cheer Basics: Motions #1
In this one time class students will learn the basics of motions and learn motion drills with counts that are used in the early stages of cheerleading.

Students will learn the cheer vocabulary and body positions for basic cheer motions. We will go over common mistakes and how to correct them. Students will then learn 'motion drills' that but each cheer motion to specific counts. This will then teach them to be sharp and more coordinated with their motions. There will be a short visual quiz at the end the assess each students retention and ability during the class. I suggest this class first in my cheer series if you are just starting...
Please wear comfortable clothes and have a safe area to move without hitting anything or anybody.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will be doing some stretching within the class but you may find that your child may need to do some outside of the class as well to help with muscle tension. Students need an open space with room enough to stand and cheer. If desired, they can bring water to class.
