Cheer 101! Cheerleading for Beginners
In one hour you will learn all the basic motions, jumps, and vocabulary to confidently participate on a youth cheerleading team or in try-outs. PLUS two cheers they can use right away!

Description
Class Experience
Students will learn: - 15-25 cheerleading motions and the corresponding terms. - 3 cheerleading jumps and the corresponding terms. - cheerleading fundamentals such as posture, tempo, alignment, and sharpness. - 2 chants (short cheers) that can work with any team, sport, or mascot
I have been teaching cheerleading clubs to elementary age students for 5 years.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will be assess informally in an ongoing manner during class. Students will be gently corrected as needed.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please be sure your child has about 4 square feet of open space and a water bottle. We will stretch together during class. Adult supervision is important to ensure students participate in any physical activity safely.
