Class Experience

What is a checking account?  Why do people use checking accounts?  What is a debit card?  How to use debit card? 
How do I balance my checking account?  Why, should I balance my account?  Mobile banking 
Students will have hands on application of electronic banking concepts and financial institution characteristics is achieved through a debit card simulation. Students will record various transactions, balance a checking account and strengthen their knowledge of the electronic banking...

Students will learn:
Basic check and checkbook skills.
Reinforces math skills.
Learn about basic banking skills, such as deposits and withdrawals.
Money is a limited quantity.  People need to make wise decisions about how they spend their money.

Students will be assigned checking account worksheets for practice between lessons.

Practice worksheets will handed out to students.  Students will need a calculator.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
