Students will participate in short, impromptu persuasive speeches including short commercials, among other speaking games. This class is an engaging way to practice talking in front of others.

Beginner Level
The class is structured to begin with a short introduction of persuasive speaking and how it can be used in every day life and/or different careers. Students will have multiple opportunities to "Take the Floor" during our game, by creating 30 second commercials, sales pitches, and other impromptu persuasive topics. While students take their turn speaking, other students and myself will be looking for positive feedback to provide. No background is required and homework is not given...although, you just might try some of the games at home with your family. I purposely keep this class extremely small so students get LOTS of talk time to practice their public speaking skills.

Other Details
Parental Guidance
There will be a timer used as part of the game for each student. It is incorporated in the game challenge, and it is also to ensure students have equal amounts of talk time throughout our time together.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
