Class Experience

Young learners love to create art for others! In this one-time class students will make a reindeer card. While we make our reindeer card students will practice following directions, shapes, fine motors skills, handwriting, letters, and more! As we work students are encouraged to socialize with others. We will have fun making a card and chatting with each other. Once we create the front of our card students will draw a message on the inside and practice writing their name! Students will be encourage to share who their card is for and why. If time allows we will read, "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: Rudolph Helps Out" by Benton books.

I received my B.S in Management and Leadership in 2016 and then moved onto my master's program to receive my Masters of Arts in Teaching for Special Education. In 2020 with a semester and left and my student teaching I decided to stay home and homeschool my own kiddos! I have a boy with Down syndrome and another little boy. My special education background allows me to customize my classes and adapt to any learner. When I am not teaching I enjoy taking our family dog on walks, spending time in nature, reading books of all kind, watching history documentaries, cooking, and spending time with my family.
