Class Experience

Students will learn about the different forms of artistic charcoal and how best to use it in their own drawings. They will learn about Vine, Compressed, and Pencil charcoals, they will learn about the chamois, and how different kinds of erasers work with charcoal. Learners will also be given plenty of time to ask questions and experiment with the medium used during the class.
For materials, I will provide links to materials that Walmart provides. I will try to post 2 links for each item, one cheaper and one of better quality. Students need one of each, Vine, Compressed, Pencil, Chamois, Paper, Kneaded Eraser, Pencil Eraser. Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Charcoal as an artistic medium is very messy. Students will need a space to use where charcoal dust will not ruin carpet or walls. They will also need a sink to wash their hands after.
