Can you guess which one your classmate is miming? Learning needn't be tedious. Come and laugh with your classmates. I will send you a message with the idiom you must mime. Students will improve their vocabulary and understanding of idioms through the use of their bodies. Students will learn to decode body language Students will have fun together At the end of the class, the student should be able to remember at least 1 idiom and its meaning.
I have been teaching ESL to children for over 12 years. The use of idioms is common and children often instinctively understand them. This class will make them more aware of the meaning the idiom carries and how they are used in everyday speech. Whether learning a second language or simply playing with our 'mother tongue' (how would you mime that one?) miming is always great fun!
You will need to bring your body!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The learner will be able to assess themselves through their guesses and laughter. At the end of the class, the student should be able to remember at least 1 idiom and its meaning.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
