Class Experience

A Wrinkle in Time, by Madeleine L'Engle is an award winning book that will inspire students and capture their imaginations. This book's theme of individuality, friendship, courage, and not fitting in are universal themes that teenagers can relate to.

Students should purchase, or check out from my library, a copy of the book A Wrinkle in Time, by Madeline L'Engle

This course will involve short lectures when the teacher explains literary terms and concepts. There will be lots of opportunity...

Work will be explained at the end of each class. Students will read one chapter before the next class. Students will complete a homework assignment relating to the chapter they are reading. These assignments will involve activities such as defining vocabulary words, answering a few comprehension questions, doing simple projects such as a poster about a character or scene.

Homework is optional, but students will benefit greatly from completing the activities.

Each student should purchase, or check out from the library, a copy of the book A Wrinkle in Time, by Madeline L'Engle

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
