The students will learn the technical specifications of the CH-47 Chinook helicopter, the different variants, and how it was used in various military roles over the history of the helicopter to include Operation Red Wings. This class is structured as a lecture based class with encouraged student interaction through questions. Lastly, there will be a short video to better illustrate the content of the historic Operation Red Wings. There is no other required experience or background knowledge needed to enroll in this course.

Parental Guidance
There is a short dramatized video depicting a MH-47 being shot down from the movie Lone Survivor it lasts about two-minutes and there will be no inappropriate language played during the video. There will be a short YouTube video in this class and you do not need a separate login for this video. It will displayed in the classroom.
Supply List
There is an attached two-page hand out for the student to download and follow along during the class. It is not graded or turned in. Only for the student's use.
