Description
Class Experience
This is a resume class for digital artists. I will cover the top items required that recruiters of schools and entertainment studios are expecting to see from applicants. You will understand the formats, the headings, the necessary specialty topics that are needed. This will be lecture style with slides, and the chat will be open for questions and comments. No experience or previous resume needed, but have the student consider these topics: Name on resume; software knowledge; languages...
The goal of this class is to have the student feel confident in the knowledge they are putting on their resume. They will understand how their life and educational experience can be presented in resume format. Knowing how the person receiving the resume will interpret the information helps the resume writer be creative with their content. Resumes can take a bit to finish, they are not a one hour project. But in the one hour class you will be confident in your next resume writing steps.
I have 20 years experience in Entertainment Education and Studio Recruiting globally. My areas of specialty are with Film, Animation, Visual Effects, Game Art, and Graphic Design.
There will be no homework, but I will add a handout on the class page that will give a great outline for the student to go away and write a very strong resume.
