In this one time class, experience a snippet of my French circle time program with the c’est l’hiver class! Our class begins with a welcome song and introduction and quick calendar routine to get everyone speaking in French! We will then dive into various activities via play to learn French vocabulary related to winter and winter animals! Example vocabulary taught: 🔵 Bleu ❄️ Flocon de neige 🐻❄️ ours polaire 🐧 manchot …and more! Students will be taught a simple winter theme song in French and we will end with a directed art lesson! The activities vary each lesson so your learner can take this class multiple times! I have been teaching French immersion kindergarten for the past 10 years and love to share my love of learning through play with children! Hope to see you in my class!

Hello! My name is Anna Maria Marando and I have been a Kindergarten French Immersion teacher in B.C, Canada for the past 10 years! I am excited to be teaching French in this virtual platform.
Some of the classes I offer:
- Sing and Play with French Circle Time: A thematic approach to learning French vocabulary
- Private tutoring for grades K-1 French Immersion (can be ongoing based on students needs)

Teaching Philosophy:
I love teaching French through songs and play-based experiences! My philosophy behind teaching is to make my virtual classes fun, playful and engaging all while learning a new language! When learning a new language, music is the best way to retain vocabulary. The catchy melodies and repetitive language help children learn quickly, all while having fun! I believe its important when learning a new language that children speak as much as possible! So my classes involve a lot of interaction!
Background:
In 2020, I discovered that there was a need for more French options for young children, especially in a virtual setting. I started teaching a French Circle Time class via ZOOM and LOVED the experience! So I decided to pursue this new path which has brought me to Outschool!
About Me:
I am tri-lingual myself. I grew up speaking Italian and English and learned French in school. When I am not teaching, I am usually with my 3 daughters or cooking something in the kitchen! I can’t wait to meet you all!
