Celebrating Dr. Seuss With a STEM Project - Making Oobleck
In this one-time class, we will make the famous Dr. Seuss's mysterious substance - oobleck. We will talk about solids, liquids, and whatever oobleck is. Join us for a messy science experiment.

Description
Class Experience
Students will be able to define and solid and liquid Students will observe sinking and floating Students will show how force or speed can change the state of oobleck
-corn starch (1 cup) -water (1/2 cup) -food coloring -mixing bowl -spoon -baggie for storage/disposal -objects to put in it
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This experiment is messy. It would be helpful to have an adult nearby (but off-camera) to help the youngest learners.
We will refer to the book "Bartholomew and the Oobleck" by Dr. Seuss
