Beginner Level
The students will listen to a non-fiction frog book during the "research" part of the class. Together we will brainstorm frog facts. They will also listen to a fiction frog story. During the directed drawing portion of the class, the students will draw and color a frog. They will share the frogs with their classmates, if they feel comfortable doing so. -Students will use listening skills by focusing on frog facts. ~Students will listen to a fiction and non fiction story read with fluency and expression. -Students will use research skills to gather information about frogs. -Students will use creative skills by drawing and coloring a frog. -Students will use writing skills to create non fiction labels/sentences with facts about frogs.
The students will need paper, a pencil, and crayons or colored pencils.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
