Learners will be taught the basic Traditional Irish Jig. The class will begin with a stretch and warm up. The basic Irish Jig step will be taught slowly without music to start. Learners will listen to the music and clap out the rhythm. After getting accustomed to the music dancers will dance the Jig step taught to the music to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. The class teaches proper technique for Traditional Irish Dances. Dancers will benefit from the many wonderful health benefits of Irish Dance..... Parental Guidance
Learners should wear comfortable clothing suitable for easy movement and flexible shoes which provide traction and also allow them to stand on their toes. No jeans please. Dancers are encouraged to have a water bottle on hand to stay hydrated during class. A large space is not necessary for class however the area should be free from any items on the floor or furniture which may be an obstacle. Class will begin with some warm up stretches to get the dancers ready for movement.
Supply List
No special supplies needed. Just comfortable clothing suitable for easy movement.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have been teaching Irish Dance to children ages 3 and older for 40 years. I am certified through our teacher organization in Ireland and am a member of the Irish Dance Teachers Association of Mid-America and the Irish Dance Teachers Association of North America.
