Celebrate Halloween With Classical Music, Movement, and Craft (Pre-K-2Nd Grade)

In the first part of the class, we will discuss Halloween and some spooky characters associated with it. We will concentrate primarily on witch, skeleton, monster, and ghost discussing their behavior and sounds associated with them. We will play musical “Guess Who? game": listen to 4 short fragments of music and try to pair them with the 4 characters discussed earlier. We will learn to listen to short segments of classical music and expect the "clues" from the music. We will talk about music being loud and soft, fast and slow, exciting and spooky.
Materials for craft: 1. Old newspaper 2. Brown lunch bag 3. Construction Paper 4. Halloween stickers OR Halloween related small pictures (could be cut out from magazine) 5. 2 tissues 6 Scotch tape 7 Scissors 8. Glue 9. Markers
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
For the craft portion of the class, parental guidance is required for younger students (ages 4-5) for the use of scissors and other materials. Parental guidance is recommended for older students (ages 6-8). Please note that as per Outschool policy, parents should remain off camera Thank you.
