In this on-going class we’ll highlight the accomplishments of Black people. We’ll read books, create art, do science projects, and participate in other hands on activities to connect with the people who we talk about.

Class experience

Learners will learn about notable people in the african diaspora.
In college I took African American studies classes. As a black American, I am embedded in the culture, but those classes helped me look even further into the figures who helped shape our our world. This exposure made me want to spark the same awareness and appreciation in our youngest learners through this class.
