In this class we will review the blends taught in previous class covering "h, l, r, and s" blends. Students will play games, write on their own paper or whiteboard, write on the Shared Whiteboard, interact with me and with their classmates. Students will practice writing and reading the blends with short vowel sounds and then form and read words with these blends. Students will benefit from the material in my other classes with these blends or a knowledge of these blends. We will have fun learning together.

Student can bring something to class that starts with one of these blends to share with their classmates and me. Whiteboard/Paper Marker/Crayon/Pencil that can be easily read.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hello, my name is Parri!
I am so excited to be teaching with Outschool. I hope to teach classes in Phonics, Math, Art, and Sea Glass.
I have been teaching for 28 years; I taught for 25. 5 years in a Brick and Mortar school and for 2.5 years online. I have taught Reading, Language, Phonics, Literature, Spelling, Math, Social Studies, Canadian Studies, and Science. I LOVE teaching Phonics and Reading. Online I have been teaching children ages 4-14 to speak English. I also do tutoring with these ages and in these subjects both online and in person.
I believe teaching should be fun and at the same time assist students to reach their highest potential. I like to teach using games and activities that encourage learning in a fun way! I want my students to know I care about them and their learning.
One of the first classes I hope to teach is one about Sea Glass; I LOVE the beach. Since I was a child, I have been roaming beaches looking for sea glass; I also love making things with the glass too!
