CCVC, Come and Blend With Me! ("H" Blends)
Students will learn the digraphs "ch, sh, th, th, wh, and wh", blend them with short vowels, and form CCVC words.

In this class we will work with the digraphs "ch, sh, th, and wh" and short vowel sounds; we discussed that "th" and "wh" make two different sounds. Students will play a game to match and practice the digraphs. We will also review the short vowel sounds so that we can blend the digraphs and the short vowels. Students will also add a letter to the end of the blends to form and read words. We will use games, visual aids, and the whiteboard on the screen to practice the material in this class.Students will have opportunity to answer together and individually. We will do fun activities so that students can have fun learning. A knowledge of the short vowel sounds will benefit the student.

The goal is for student to be able to blend the digraphs with the vowels and form CCVC words.

Hello, my name is Parri!
I am so excited to be teaching with Outschool. I hope to teach classes in Phonics, Math, Art, and Sea Glass.
I have been teaching for 28 years; I taught for 25. 5 years in a Brick and Mortar school and for 2.5 years online. I have taught Reading, Language, Phonics, Literature, Spelling, Math, Social Studies, Canadian Studies, and Science. I LOVE teaching Phonics and Reading. Online I have been teaching children ages 4-14 to speak English. I also do tutoring with these ages and in these subjects both online and in person.
I believe teaching should be fun and at the same time assist students to reach their highest potential. I like to teach using games and activities that encourage learning in a fun way! I want my students to know I care about them and their learning.
One of the first classes I hope to teach is one about Sea Glass; I LOVE the beach. Since I was a child, I have been roaming beaches looking for sea glass; I also love making things with the glass too!
