Research shows that routines and habits formed in childhood can have a big impact on future health behaviors. This class will give learners the knowledge and skills they need for a lifetime of healthy teeth! As a dental hygienist, I love teaching children how to care for their teeth. This class will answer the “whys” and “hows” of oral hygiene for children. 🦷 First, we will discuss why it is important to take good care of our teeth. Visuals will be used to explain how cavities form, and what we can do to prevent them. I will explain and encourage brushing, flossing, regular dental checkups, and good nutrition habits. Learners will be taught proper techniques for brushing their teeth through simple instruction and demonstration. 🪥 Next, it’s Show and Tell time! Everyone can show the class their toothbrush as we practice our brushing technique together. After class, I will send each learner a printable home care tracker. I created this chart for my students as a fun way to encourage good oral hygiene habits. ❤️ Feel free to send me a message with any questions. I hope to see you soon! Note: I do not cancel any of my classes for low enrollment. This class is fun even with just 1 learner! If your child does not feel comfortable being the only learner in class, please send me a message. 🙂
