Draw & Watercolor Paint or Color a Warrior Inspired Cat Workshop This class welcomes artists using markers, colored pencils, or digital art! This is a workshop, so every class time is a different cat to create! Please review the lesson plans below for the dates and cats we will create. You do not have to be an artist to take this class. You need to love to create. I will take your student on a journey, Inspire, and build confidence. If painting is not your thing, markers, colored pencils, or Digital Art are welcome! Lessons plans: June 10 - Longtail July 1 - Jayfeather July 12 - Tigerstar July 29 - Graystripe Aug 2 - Mothwing I encourage artists to make these cats in their very own style! ABOUT In this cat painting class, your artists will learn to draw & watercolor paint a Warriors-inspired cat. I love to draw the characters your artist requests! No drawing experience is needed for this class! I will teach everything your artist needs to know in every class in drawing properly! ~ IMPORTANT~ Be on time for class! This is a step-by-step lesson, and you need to be on time. If your artist is late, I will let them in class, and they can participate where we are in the drawing. I will offer your artist the option of doing the complete lesson on the recording after class has finished and the lesson has been uploaded to the cloud. PRIOR TO CLASS Students should log into class about 5 minutes before the scheduled start time. This allows time for you to resolve any technical issues with your device's connection. If you use a battery-powered device (laptop, Ipad, etc) be sure it is fully charged or connected to the power supply. I will use this time for students to show me any art they have completed and any questions before starting the class session. START OF CLASS First thing, wereviewo over the supplies needed for the lesson and will ask each student their name. I encourage students to use the chatbox during class for questions. If they have an answer to , my questions they are then allowed to unmute to answer the question. I love class participation! Especially when we learn from each other about art! Then I will begin the step-by-step process of drawing out our character in easy-to-follow instructions. Each step will be broken down to the simplest form by using common shapes like circles and lines. My favorite is comparing shapes to food! Like a potato or a pizza. This frees the artist to allow for imperfections in their initial sketch. Once we build our character, we will add details, texture, shading, and form to our drawing. If it is a painting, we will add these using watercolor paints. END OF CLASS At the end of class, each student can show their work on the screen and tell the class about their work! This is a big confidence booster! You can see how much they worked and listened in class when they held up their final art piece! Thank you for encouraging your artist to be creative! If painting is not your thing, markers, digital, or colored pencils are welcome! Teacher expertise and credentials
Unleash your inner artist with drawing lessons for young creators!
Do you have a young artist who loves drawing:
Dragons like Toothless from HTTYD or the fierce tribes of Wings of Fire?
The brave cats of Warrior Clans or the wonders of real animals?
Maybe their imagination wants to create something entirely new!
No matter what they love to draw, I'm here to help them learn and grow!
My passion is to inspire young people to:
~Find courage and confidence in their creativity.
~Master the skills to bring their artistic visions to life.
~Have fun and enjoy the process of creating.
From basic drawing techniques to exploring different mediums, my interactive classes are designed to:
~Build confidence and self-esteem.
~Spark the imagination and fuel creativity.
~Develop essential skills like observation and problem-solving.
~Most importantly, foster a lifelong love for art!
Whether your young artist is a beginner or wants to refine their skills, I have a class for them!
My journey began with sketching as a child and working on graphic designs for T-shirts as a teen. As an adult, I have designed and painted larger-than-life murals and now teach art classes to the public. I currently teach weekly live worldwide art classes online. I get in-person interaction with my local events for those in the Houston, Texas, area!
I reside in Houston, Texas, and I am a homeschooled mom of three. (2 graduated, and one will graduate in 2024). And a proud U.S. Marine Mom! When not putting my latest art onto paper, I can be found "pumping iron" at the gym with my husband of over 27 years. My family is very committed to saving animals, and our house is always full of foster animals from our local animal shelter! Beware, you may see or hear a puppy, kitten, or guinea pig in a live class!
My passion is inspiring young people to find courage and confidence in their creations! Imagination is the doorway to being able to express yourself and be happy!
Motto: Be who you needed when you were younger.
