Factor Trees are simply the best way for identifying and capturing legendary whole number Poke’mon. Join us in this one-time-math class adventure, archiving Poke’mon and diagramming their rare prime factors. Students who take this class will practice various strategies for improving multiplication and division facts.

Description
Class Experience
The student will be able to understand that prime numbers have only two factors - one and themselves. The student will be able to understand that other numbers are called composite and have multiple prime factors. The student will factor composite numbers into prime numbers. The student will use factorization to understand multiples and divisibility.
A worksheet with additional practice will be provided prior to class.
Pencil & Paper Worksheet Provided by Instructor
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Whiteboard.fi by Kahoot! is a free online whiteboard tool that will be used in class to practice examples of Prime Factorization.
