US Grade Kindergarten - 3
Beginner Level
This ongoing class will be an interactive exploration of music with an ocean theme. Learners will have experiences with music theory, playing rhythms, singing, movement, age appropriate music composition, music listening/history, and related crafts. There will be some thematic songs and activities that will be consistent throughout the club meetings, but each week can stand on its own.

Learning Goals
Learners will move to the beat, read and play simple rhythms, compose simple rhythms, sing songs and describe classical music.

Learners may need assistance with cutting.
Supply List
Learners will need some household items to make their own instruments, coloring supplies, and scissors. There will be some materials to download as well. A more detailed weekly list will be added as the dates are closer. Learners can use a percussion instrument or found instrument during class.

Week 1 - Downloaded hand out, coloring supplies, scissors, tape, straw or craft stick
Week 2 - Downloaded hand out, coloring supplies, glue, paper
Week 3 - Downloaded hand out, coloring supplies, 3 small objects to hide something under
Week 4 - Empty container(s) and items to put inside containers like rice, beads or paper clips
Week 5 - Piece of paper and pencil/marker
Week 6 - Downloaded hand out, coloring supplies
