In this one time class, we will read the story, "How to Catch an Elf." (used with permission from Scholastic, Inc.) As we read, and at the end of the story, we will work together to sequence the events in the story. Students will be provided with pictures form the story prior to class that can be printed. Throughout the story, I will ask various comprehension questions as we discuss the events. At the end of the class, if time allows, we will create a plan to catch our own elf. Students will be provided with a graphic organizer to help make their plan.

Parental Guidance
This story is a Christmas themed story. The story includes Santa and an Elf as characters.

The book, "How to Catch and Elf," will be read aloud in class. There are no additional sites or sources needed. There will be a file provided prior to class that can be printed if you choose to do so.
