Class Experience
We will explore the beauty of watercolor while creating this sweet fall scene. Students will learn to control the water to paint mix to achieve a cat and pumpkin. We will discuss what colors to begin a watercolor with, and why shading and hi-lighting are such an important part of a painting. We will have some basic colors to use and mixing our own colors will be encouraged. A little color theory is always thrown into the lesson. My teaching style is to give enough instruction to keep...
Students will learn to control the amount of water and paint to achieve a cat and pumpkin in this fall painting.
I have been painting, and teaching art for over twenty years and continue to be inspired by my students' skill and creativity.
1 file available upon enrollment8 inch by 10 inch watercolor paper, bowl or water, paper towels, number 12 round brush that comes to a point, 1/2 inch square, flat top brush palette paper (or a watercolor tray or foam plate), Watercolor paint tubes, not the trays. A set is easy to find a craft stores. We will use white, yellow, orange, alizarin crimson(red), purple, blue, green, brown and black.
I will write a brief note to the student after class.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
