55 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
This very hands-on and highly interactive class will have kids coloring and creating their own castles. They'll learn basic shapes. They'll learn how castles evolved. They'll learn the key parts of a castle. And they'll make a castle in class. My classes are always very visual--I'll be showing pictures of both castles and step-by-step how to make a castle out of cardboard. I'll give lots of examples. I'll call on individual students and also compliment their work (either their coloring or their castles that they make). Interaction will be continual and very positive. Learners either need to be willing to make a castle in class (I provide a suggested less of materials that are easily available--like paper towel cardboard tubes) or color pictures of castles and then share work at the end of the session.
Learning Goals
Students will learn the key parts of a castle. They will learn how to make a castle of their own. And they'll learn some key shapes that make up a castle.
