This class will be offered one time in a circle time format. The theme of the circle will be Cars and we will do all of the following with that in mind: sing songs, read a book, and do activities. This class will be interactive and lots of fun to keep the learners engaged! I am a patient, calm, and animated teacher. I keep children involved by singing lots of songs and being silly. The learners will be able to interact by joining along in songs and dances, answering questions during the book reading, participating in the activities, and having discussions. No experience or knowledge is needed in advance of taking this course.
Learning Goals
The students will learn literacy skills (features of a book, comprehension, reading for a purpose) and pre-math skills (counting, sorting, comparing/contrasting) all with the Cars movies in mind.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Sources
We will be reading a "Cars: Little Golden Book". We will also be singing and dancing to "Life is a Highway" by Rascal Flatts along with singing other car-themed songs.

I've been teaching young children for the past 13 years and have experience teaching preschool children of all developmental levels. I have my Masters in Child & Family Studies and my Birth to Kindergarten (BK) License.
I focus heavily on social/emotional learning along with literacy and pre-academic skills. I enjoy using songs, books, activities, and group discussions to teach a variety of skills.
I live in Washington state and am a big fan of the Seattle Seahawks! I have a 10-year old son and a 2-year old golden/lab mix dog.
