Ingredients: 2 granny smith apples 2 cups all purpose flour 1/3 cup granulated sugar 1 tbs baking powder 1 tsp salt 1 tsp ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg 3/4 c apple cider or high end apple juice 2 large eggs 2 tbs melted butter 3 cups vegetable oil 2 cups powdered sugar 1/4 cup apple cider or high end apple juice 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg Equipment: peeler large bowl paper towels 2 whisks 2 medium bowls 1 French knife cutting board dutch oven or large pot 1/3 cup measuring scoop baking pan cooling rack slotted spoon thermometer
