Welcome to our weekly pen and ink drawing class for scientists, historians and artists alike, where together we will learn how to draw and how to use a variety of shading techniques to create both realistic drawings and cartoons. This art class is perfect for beginning artists and specializes in using step by step drawing and shading demonstrations to help blossoming artists perfect their skills. This drawing class is also perfect for both neuro divergent learners and homeschool families because it combines a variety of general subject matter including mathematics, science and sometimes history while using an adaptable teaching style and affordable materials. Each day your student will be encouraged to ask questions and will have the opportunity to display their drawings at the end of each session. The first half of class will begin with good news and an ice breaker. This will allow all of us to get a better chance to get to know your students and their friends. Then, we will then watch an educational YouTube video about the topic we are focusing on for that week. Next, we will assess what we have learned by playing a fun and interactive trivia game. After game time, we will then draw under the guidance of a certified art educator. Each week we will focus on one particular subject and a few drawing techniques. This will allow everyone the opportunity to add their own personal flairs to their drawings and practice the new skill set not only under the guidance of an art teacher but also at home. Doing so will allow each student to build their confidence outside of class and create a sense of independence. The following art topics we will cover for the rest of the year are listed below: ----------2024 SCHEDULE ------------- JANUARY 1/1/24-1/6/24 How to Draw an Arctic Wolf Using Pen and Ink 1/7/24-1/13/24 How to Draw a Narwhal Using Pen and Ink 1/14/24-1/20/24 How to Draw a Snow Leopard Using Pen and Ink 1/21/24-1/27/24 How to Draw a Walrus Using Pen and Ink 1/28/24-1/31/24 How to Draw a Barn Owl Using Pen and Ink **LAST LESSON FOR THIS MONTH WILL BE EXTENDED INTO 2/3/24 ALLOW ALL CLASSES TO PARTICIPATE*** FEBRUARY 2/4/24-2/10/24 How to Draw a Panda for Valentines Day 2/11/24-2/17/24 How to Draw a Rabbit for Valentines Day 2/18/24-2/24/24 How to Draw an Adorable Sloth for Valentines Day 2/25/24-2/29/24 How to Draw a Puffin for Valentines Day ***LAST LESSON FOR THIS MONTH WILL EXTENDED INTO 3/2/24 TO ALLOW ALL CLASSES TO PARTICIPATE**** MARCH 3/3/24-3/9/24 How to Draw a Busy Bumblebee Using Pen and Ink 3/10/24-3/16/24 How to Draw a Lucky Leprechaun for Saint Patrick’s Day 3/17/24-3/24/24 How to Draw a Garter Snake for Saint Patrick’s Day 3/24/24-3/31/24 How to Draw a Bear Cub Using Pen and Ink APRIL 4/1/24-4/6/24 How to Draw Faberge Eggs for Easter 4/7/24-4/13/24 How to Draw Lovely Lambs for Easter 4/14/24-4/20/24 How to Draw Beautiful Butterflies Using Pen and Ink 4/21/24-4/27/24 How to Draw Hummingbirds Using Pen and Ink 4/28/24-4/30/24 How to Draw Robust Robins Using Pen and Ink ***LAST LESSON FOR THIS MONTH WILL EXTENDED INTO 5/4/24 TO ALLOW ALL CLASSES TO PARTICIPATE**** MAY 5/5/24-5/11/24 How to Draw Momma Cheetahs for Mother’s Day 5/12/24-5/18/24 How to Draw Momma Elephants for Mother’s Day 5/19/24-5/25/24 How to Draw Momma Giraffes for Mother’s Day 5/26/24-5/31/24 How to Draw Momma Orcas for Mother’s Day ***LAST LESSON FOR THIS MONTH WILL EXTENDED INTO 6/1/24 TO ALLOW ALL CLASSES TO PARTICIPATE**** JUNE 6/2/24-6/8/24 How to Draw Daddy Flamingos for Father’s Day 6/9/24-6/15/24 How to Draw a Fatherly Frog for Father’s Day 6/16/24-6/22/24 How to Draw a Daddy Eurasian Eagle Owl Using Ink 6/24/24-6/30/24 How to Draw a Daddy Golden Jackal Using Ink JULY 7/1/24-7/6/24 How to Draw a Cute Chameleon Using Pen and Ink 7/7/24-7/13/24 How to Draw a Tokay Gecko Using Pen and Ink 7/14/24-7/20/24 How to Draw an Orchid Using Pen and Ink 7/21/24-7/27/24 How to Draw a Precious Parrot Using Pen and Ink 7/28/24-7/31/24 How to Draw a Talkative Toucan Using Pen and Ink ***LAST LESSON FOR THIS MONTH WILL EXTENDED INTO 8/3/24 TO ALLOW ALL CLASSES TO PARTICIPATE**** AUGUST 8/4/24-8/10/24 How to Draw Bossy Border Collie Using Pen and Ink 8/11/24-8/17/24 How to Draw a Crazy Cow Using Pen and Ink 8/18/22-8/24/24 How to Draw Gregarious Goats Using Pen and Ink 8/25/24-8/31/24 How to Draw Honorable Horses Using Pen and Ink SEPTEMBER 9/1/24-9/7/24 How to Draw a Moody Moose Using Pen and Ink 9/8/24-9/14/24 How to Draw a Horned Owl Using Pen and Ink 9/15/24-9/21/24 How to Draw a Petite Porcupine Using Pen and Ink 9/22/24-9/28/24 How to Draw a Queenly Quail Fox Using Pen and Ink **NEW FIRST LESSON FOR OCTOBER WILL BEGIN ON 9/30/24*** OCTOBER 10/1/24-10/7/24 How to Draw a Family of Bats for Halloween 10/8/24-10/14/24 How to Draw a Frankenstein Wolf for Halloween 10/15/24-10/21/24 How to Draw a Ghost Bear for Halloween 10/22/24-10/28/24 How to Draw a Haunted Amusement Park for Halloween 10/29/24-10/31/24 How to Draw a Realistic Skull for Halloween ***LAST LESSON FOR THIS MONTH WILL EXTENDED INTO 11/4/24 TO ALLOW ALL CLASSES TO PARTICIPATE**** NOVEMBER 11/5/24/-11/11/24 How to Draw a Bear Cub Using Pen and Ink 11/12/24-11/18/24 How to Draw a Realistic Chipmunk Using Pen and Ink 11/19/24-11/25/24 How to Draw a Turkey Using Pen and Ink 11/26/24-11/30/24 How to Draw a Majestic Mushroom Using Pen and Ink ***LAST LESSON FOR THIS MONTH WILL EXTENDED INTO 12/2/24 TO ALLOW ALL CLASSES TO PARTICIPATE**** DECEMBER 12/3/24-12/9/24 How to Draw Penguins Using Pen and Ink 12/10/24-12/16/24 How to Draw a Reindeer Using Pen and Ink 12/17/24-12/24/24 How to Draw a Christmas Gnome Using Pen and Ink 12/24/24-12/30/24 How to Draw a Polar Bear Using Pen and Ink CLASS WILL BEGIN BACK AT THE TOP OF THE SYLLABUS STARTING 12/31/24
