We will also work to highlight the pros and cons of breeds to help you determine which chicken is the best fit for you. Your student will get a breed guide to complete their breed matching worksheet and exit ticket.Lesson 3Lifecycle of ChickensIn our final unit we will go over the life cycle of chicks. We will learn about how their needs change as they grow and how to care for them and their chicken coops. Students will end this course by completing their final exit ticket, as well as drawing their dream coop and ending with a chicken lifecycle worksheet!
- Students will learn work to learn about the basic needs of raising chicks. Whether your student is looking to start their own chicken family or is just interested in learning about them, we will spend the week learning how chicks become chickens. We will have three lesson days where we will cover what chicks need to survive, the different types of chickens, and their life cycle in a fun and easy to follow format.
I am currently raising chickens and want to share my experience in real time with students!

Frequency: includedFeedback: includedDetails: I will have simple exit tickets to be completed by your child. These exit tickets will require your child to recall the information they learned that day, as well as offer their opinions and experience. I offer these exit tickets as a way for me to better get to know your student, as well as to offer my feedback. They are not in any way graded or critiqued, just more of a reflection and conversation starter! Lesson length and homework assignments each day will vary but in total will last anywhere from 30-40 minutes.Assessment
Frequency: includedDetails: At the end of each lesson, your student will have an exit ticket and some sort of worksheet. Each exit ticket will be brief and require your student to reflect on their own opinions and experiences. Each lesson will also have a brief assessment that will focus on their understanding of the material that they learned that day.
