Class Experience

Thinking about adding chicks to your family or starting a backyard chicken flock? In this crash course class, students will learn how to properly care for new chicks in a jam-packed session. We will discuss choosing the right kinds of chicks, maintaining a proper area, helping chickens get off to a healthy start, proper feeding & handling, as well as how to socialize young chicks to ensure friendly birds later on! I have over 20 years of experience with poultry. I grew up on a farm and am now the proud owner of a hobby farm. I've raised chickens from hatching to advanced age. I'm happy to share my experiences and lessons learned along the way.
