Caring for a Horse. What does it take?

Ages 11-14
Live Group Class
In this on-going, weekly class we will explore what it requires to care for a horse of your own. Feeding, grooming, nutrition, health, housing, veterinary care and many more topics will be explored in this class.

Class Experience

In this class we will cover the basic knowledge needed to own a horse. We will cover topics such as housing, equipment, nutrition, health, veterinary care, feeding, grooming, exercise and cost.  We will also cover the many uses of horses and how to select a horses that meets your needs as a horse owner. Plus many more topics!

Learning Goals

Students will understand the basic care needs of a horse
Students will understand the equipment, housing and cost required to keep an equine friend.

I have a degree in Equine sciences. I am a former vet tech. I have owned horses for the last 40 years and been a 4-H horse leader for the last 10 years.
