This class will be all about the real reindeer: called caribou! We will talk about where they live in the world and what kind of weather they can survive in. Students will see pictures of caribou in the powerpoint I share during class. We will talk about what reindeer like to eat and how big they get. Each student will have chances to speak during class. I really focus on engaging all the students and allowing everyone to have time to share their ideas! And we will complete a small craft at the end of class.

Students will receive a one-page handout prior to class. Please print this and have your child bring the coloring sheet along with some crayons or colored pencils.

This teaching opportunity will give me the chance to share my passion for nature and why science is so much fun! I enjoy teaching children about animals and bugs. It's what I loved when I was a kid and my children have a growing love for learning the world around them. A fun little fact about me, I have twin boys and a little girl who I am homeschooling for the second year now. My kids are my driving force to teach and the reason why I continue to learn more everyday.
I have a Bachelors Degree of Science and have 5 years of field work experience under my belt. Once I had my twin boys in 2016 I decided I wanted to stay home to raise my children. So I started teaching online in 2017 as an ESL teacher (teaching English to children in China).
I am eager to share my knowledge about nature and the beautiful world outside our doors! As a teacher, I believe all students deserve to feel valued and respected in class. I am committed to making sure the students are having fun as they learn about the world around us!
