Homework
1-2 hours per week. Throughout the course, engaging and personalized projects will be assigned that will allow students to apply their knowledge in creative ways, catering to their individual learning styles. The 45-minute lesson videos ensure that students can stay focused and absorb the information without feeling overwhelmed. Additionally, dedicating 1-2 hours per week for the projects allows students to delve deeper into the topics, apply their learning, and personalize their work to showcase their understanding and creativity
Assessment
By showcasing their understanding through diverse mediums, students can develop critical thinking, communication, and presentation skills while deepening their comprehension.

Class Experience

US Grade 9 - 12
Throughout the course, students will have the opportunity to engage in interactive activities, group discussions, role-play, and real-life simulations to reinforce their employability skills. They will also receive personalized feedback and guidance to help them thrive in future job opportunities and professional settings. By the end of the 6-week program, students will be well-equipped with essential employability skills to excel in their chosen career paths.

Week 1: Building a Strong Foundation for Career Success
Introduction to the course and its objectives.
Identifying personal strengths, skills, and interests
Setting career goals and creating a career action plan
Exploring various career pathways and industries
Activity: Students complete a self-assessment to identify their strengths, skills, and interests
               Set short-term and long-term career goals
               Create a career action plan outlining steps to achieve their goals
                Research a career of the student's choice, sharing potential opportunities and challenges

Week 2: Crafting an Impressive Resume and Cover Letter
Understanding the purpose and components of a resume
Writing an effective resume that highlights skills and experiences
Crafting a compelling cover letter to accompany the resume
Activity: Students will craft their own cover letter and resume

Week 3: Nailing the Job Interview
Preparing for job interviews, including research and practice
Mastering common interview questions and providing impressive answers
Demonstrating proper body language and communication skills during interviews
Conducting mock interviews and providing constructive feedback
Activity: Engage in role-playing activities where students practice interview scenarios with a friend or family member
                Practice effective communication by participating in communication exercises to enhance their interpersonal skills

Week 4: Professional Communication and Networking
Developing effective communication skills for the workplace
Understanding the importance of professional etiquette in various settings
Building and maintaining a professional network
Practicing networking skills through role-play and real-life scenarios
Activity: Analyze various workplace scenarios and write a reflection

Week 5: Time Management and Workplace Productivity
Learning time management techniques to stay organized and productive
Setting priorities and managing tasks efficiently
Strategies for handling workplace challenges and staying focused
Creating a personal productivity plan to enhance efficiency
Activity: Create personalized time management plans for balancing their commitments
               Prioritizing tasks and setting achievable goals
               Create a personal productivity plan integrating time management and goal setting.

Week 6: Workplace Ethics and Conflict Resolution
Understanding workplace ethics and the importance of integrity
Identifying common workplace conflicts and their resolutions
Practicing effective conflict resolution strategies
Final review, course reflection, and celebration of achievements
Activity: Analyze case studies to understand how conflicts arise in the workplace
               Provide conflict resolution techniques for resolving workplace disputes
               Students reflect on their personal growth and learning experiences throughout the 6 weeks
** Receive a certificate of completion. 


Lesson videos and assignments will be uploaded each week by 10:00 a.m. on Sundays. Students are encouraged to upload assignments and projects upon completion. These projects can be shared with the class or with me personally. Additionally, students are encouraged to participate in the weekly discussions that will be posted in the classroom stream.

 Students will learn about success and define what success means to them. 
Lesson 2:
Identifying Personal Strengths, Skills, and Interests and exploring Career paths
 Students will take a self-assessment and learn more about how their skills and interests match with careers. 

Students will explore career pathways that match their self-assessment results.
