Description

Class Experience

In this course, you will be exposed to a ton of information about career planning! This is my big picture, overview of the process of career planning. 

In 30 minutes, I will introduce you to the current world of work as it relates to you. Then I'll go over the career exploration process from learning about your interests to narrowing down options to making decisions and setting goals. This will be a lot of information so you'll be able to follow along with an information sheet I will...

Students will understand the importance of career planning.
Students will have a basic understanding of the career planning process.
Students will be able to identify at least one resource to use in the future.

I have over 15 years of experience offering career counseling services. I have a master's degree in school counseling. I currently teach career planning courses for undergraduate college students. My research is in the field of career counseling and develpment.

An information sheet will be provided.

45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

I will provide an information sheet before class begins with resources you can access for free.
