Class Experience

Are you interested in becoming a certified doula after graduation? Learn how you can do that from a certified doula and mother of two!

Our class will discuss:
1) The specific role of a doula
2) The difference between a birth doula and postpartum doula
3) Where doulas can work
4) Training courses available, time commitment, and cost
5) Understand the difference between a doula and midwife, as these often get confused 
6) Teacher's personal experience using a doula 
7) What to expect working...

Students will learn about what a doula does to help them decide if this is the right career path for them! This class is like a career day at school!

I am certified as a doula through Madriella. I have attended four births, three in a hospital setting and one homebirth. I am a mother of two and had doulas for both of my births.

20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
